Spiritual Tours Mount Shasta

Frequently Asked Questions

There are many special places on and around Mount Shasta. When you book your tour, the first thing we will do is to ask you what your intention is for yourself for this tour. What do you want to receive from your time on this sacred mountain? Once we know that we will craft a tour especially for you to give you the best opportunity to receive your intention.

Yes. Because of Forest Service regulations and insurance requirements, participants need to follow us to the sacred sites we will be visiting in their own cars. If you are flying in and renting a vehicle for your time here, we recommend an SUV or other vehicle with high ground clearance. Some of the roads we will be driving on are a bit rough.

We always design our tours around the physical abilities of our participants. While most of the sacred sites we visit are a short walk from where we park, a couple of locations do include a slightly longer walk, about 15 minutes at the most. One of those walks involve a little uphill walking, but not extreme. We have curated tours for people with varying physical abilities.

Number one essential is a water bottle and plenty of water. We do endeavor to keep extra water in our vehicle and you should still arrive with what you think you will need for a full or half day tour. Bring any kind of snacks you think you might like and even lunch or dinner if you think you might want to spend more time by yourself on the mountain when the tour is complete.

We carry a first aid kit but if you have your own lotions and potions that you like, bring those with you. Sunscreen is a good idea and there are rarely mosquitos but if you are sensitive you might want to bring bug repellant as well.

Bring a flashlight or headlamp if you plan on staying up on the mountain into the evening.

In the words of a famous organization "be prepared". This mountain can make her own weather and is unpredictable. It can be 70 degrees in February and downright chilly in the summer, especially if the day turns overcast. So bring comfortable clothing for warm weather and warm clothing in case it's chilly. A long sleeve shirt and sweater is always a good idea, even in the summer. Also a beanie or other hat to keep your head warn does occasionally come in handy. Rain gear if you have it is sometimes helpful if a drizzle starts up. Bring a swim suit if you think you might want to jump into one of the waterfalls or lakes that might be on your itinerary. And, of course, good footwear. Make sure your feet are comfortable and protected.

The highest sites we visit are between 6800 - 7200 feel elevation. Everyone so far has handled these elevations with ease.
